Does this sound like your home right now?
- You talk about schedules and bills, and little else.
- The same argument keeps coming back, and nobody wins.
- The bedroom has gone cold, and neither of you knows how to bring it up.
- You still want this marriage. You just don't know where to start.
You are not the only couple to feel this way, and you don't have to figure it out alone. Coaching starts with where you want your marriage to go and builds a clear, practical path to get there.

Who you'll be coached by
Damon & Melanie Owens
Married 33 years, Damon and Melanie founded Joyful Ever After to help couples get the marriage they want from the marriage they have.
Since 1993 they've trained over 20,000 couples in marriage, natural family planning, and the Theology of the Body. Damon served as the first executive director of the Theology of the Body Institute and chaired the 2016 International Theology of the Body Congress. Melanie, a full-time homeschooling mother of eight, holds a BA in Sociology from UC Santa Barbara and an MSW from UC Berkeley.
They have presented at the World Meeting of Families and the USCCB Convocation of Catholic Leaders. In 2018, Pope Francis honored Damon with the Papal Benemerenti Medal for his service to the Church.
"He has a great personal witness, testimony, and one of the most engaging, entertaining, yet seriously informative, styles of communication of anyone anywhere."
Lester Ruppersberger, D.O., Past President, Catholic Medical Association
Before you begin.
What's the difference between coaching and therapy?
Therapy usually looks backward to diagnose and heal past wounds. Coaching looks forward: we start with where you want your marriage to go and build a practical, skill-based plan to get there. It's focused guidance for couples who want to grow. If we sense therapy would serve you better, we'll tell you honestly.
What if it isn't the right fit?
Start with a free consultation, no pressure, no commitment. It's a short call to see whether coaching is right for you before you ever pay. And if your first session isn't a fit, we'll make it right.
What should I expect at the end?
By the end of your sessions you'll have concrete skills: clearer communication, healthier ways to handle conflict, deeper intimacy, and a shared plan for keeping your marriage growing. Many couples continue through our alumni community to stay supported long after coaching ends.
Is coaching confidential?
Yes. Everything you share stays private between you, your spouse, and your coach. Sessions are held one-on-one over secure video, so you can speak freely from the comfort of your own home.
What if I don't feel safe at home?
Coaching is not crisis care. If you or your children are in danger, call 911. For confidential support any time, the National Domestic Violence Hotline is available 24/7 at 1-800-799-7233.
